Practices are held twice a week, typically on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. For the 2026 Spring season we are looking at adding an optional third practice for more tailored positional work.

We practice at the Dean Scott Fields located at 400 Buckeye St. in Parkersburg, WV. On average, training sessions last anywhere from 75 to 90 minutes at this age group. Typical practice times are 5:30pm - 6:45pm/7:00pm.

Your player should bring a water bottle, shin guards, and a size 4 soccer ball.

Open tryouts are held in the late spring/early summer for the upcoming season. Tryouts for the Fall season are tentatively scheduled for the week of May 18th and June 8th. Your player only needs to attend one of the tryout blocks. We do ongoing recruitment throughout the year as well, so if you're interested in joining the team or know someone who is, please reach out to the coach.

Tryouts for your player will consist of practices with the current team to evaluate their skill and fit.

Every player will learn multiple positions, however we are looking for players with strengths in the following positions:

• Goalkeeper
• Central Midfielder
• Striker

The below formations are what we will primarily use for the 2026 season and beyond (currently 7v7). We will adjust as needed based on the strengths of the players and the opponents we face.

Below are actual costs for Spring 2026. Hotels for overnight stays are not included. Keep in mind that we do have fundraisers set up to help offset the costs per player with tournament registration fees. Max out of pocket cost per player is currently $80. That number will reduce in the coming months.

Coach Profile

I'm excited to once again be a part of the RVSC family by coaching the newly formed RVSC United. I grew up in the Parkersburg area and played the majority of my youth soccer for RVSC Rampage, albeit a long time ago. While playing travel soccer for the Rampage we were fortunate to win the state championship 8 or 9 years in a row (I'm old so I can't remember the exact number). We also represented West Virginia in the Eastern Regionals six years running. I had the privilege of playing the sport I love all over the eastern seaboard and in the process gained valuable friendships and memories to last me a lifetime.

My hopes are to pass on my love of the game to the next generation of soccer players while helping to develop them into the best versions of themselves as possible.
