For questions regarding the team in general or upcoming tryouts.
How often does this team practice?
Practices are held twice a week, typically on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. For the 2026 Spring season we are looking at adding an optional third practice for more tailored positional work.
How long and where are the practices?
We practice at the Dean Scott Fields located at 400 Buckeye St. in Parkersburg, WV. On average, training sessions last anywhere from 75 to 90 minutes at this age group. Typical practice times are 5:30pm - 6:45pm/7:00pm. Our designated areas are outlined at the bottom of this page.
Does my player need to bring anything to practice?
Your player should bring a water bottle, shin guards, and a size 4 soccer ball.
How often does this team have tryouts?
Open tryouts are held in the late spring/early summer for the upcoming season. Tryouts for the Fall season are scheduled forTuesday, May 26thandTuesday, June 9th. Both dates will be located at the Parkersburg Soccer Club fields from 5:30 - 7:00pm. Your player only needs to attend one of the tryout blocks. We do ongoing recruitment throughout the year as well, so if you're interested in joining the team or know someone who is, please reach out to the coach.
IF YOU WERE CONTACTED BY A COACH PERSONALLY - Tryouts for your player will consist of practices with the current team to evaluate their skill and fit.
What positions are available on the team for the 2026 tryouts?
Every player will learn multiple positions, however we are looking for players with strengths in the following positions for the U9 team:
- Goalkeeper
- Central Midfielder
- Striker
When it comes to the U10 team, we are looking for all positions. We want players that have a strong work ethic, are coachable, and have a passion for the game. We want kids that push themselves to be the best version of themselves they can be.
How much does it cost to be on the team?
Below are actual costs for Spring 2026. Hotels for overnight stays are not included. We have been lucky enough for the spring 2026 season to be completely paid for by our fundraising efforts. Without fundraising the max out of pocket per player would have been $170.00

Fan Shop
Below are some of are common questions about orders, shipping and returns.
Are the shirts/items already made and in stock?
No. Once you submit an order it gets sent to our print on demand service. Typical turnaround times for basic printing can be 7-10 days. Some embroidery services can take up to 2 weeks. Keep in mind we aren't in the business of selling items to make money here, our focus is coaching and developing soccer players.
Where does the profit from sales go?
We have priced the apparel and accessories on this site to be as low as possible. It ensures we can cover the cost of production and taxes. Anything left over after that goes to team and player fees.
Will I know when my order ships?
Of course! Once your order has been fulfilled by the printer they send us notifications which we then pass on to you through Shopify.
Do you accept returns?
Since everything on this site is printed / embroidered on demand the only returns we can accept are damaged items or misprints.
Practice Fields
We practice on the 7v7 Dean Scott fields located at 400 Buckeye Street, Parkersburg, WV 26104.
